I got it done in the US.
I had a complex about my gum smile, so I got spider smile botox (gum smile botox).
I thought it was supposed to be injected into the muscle next to my nose that pulls in when I smile, but they said it would
n't be effective there, so they said to get it on my upper lip and levator lip muscle. A total of 6 units. In the US, it's called a lip flip, which covers my red gums by flipping my upper lip up when I smile. It doesn't seem to be a common method in Korea.
Result:
As expected from botox, the effects didn't last long. Since it's a muscle that's used a lot, my red gums were revealed after 3 months
. And when I got botox injected into my levator lip muscle, my smiling face became a little sad.
Instead, it had a filler effect that made my upper lip look thicker when I had a blank expression. Americans get this procedure more often than fillers because botox is cheaper.
