If I relax the force even a little, my lower jaw quickly falls back again and the gap between my upper and lower jaw becomes close to 1 cm. The most painful part is when I'm sleeping. When I lie down to sleep, whether I put my head up as high or low as possible, my lower jaw keeps falling back while I sleep. Because of gravity, if my lower jaw falls back, the wafer won't bite and I have to keep my mouth open. This is difficult, so I tighten my jaw and molars, and the part where the wafer meets in the front falls back due to gravity, which supports my gums and teeth from falling back. My front teeth and gums hurt, and my jaw on the molars side also keeps hurting because I'm tightening my jaw. When I sleep, I can't keep tightening my grip, so my lower jaw falls back. My mouth opens in the part that doesn't fit the wafer. I wake up from sleep in that state because it's hard, and I keep going back to sleep.
