hello!! I had a complex about facial asymmetry, jutting chin, and square jaw! I'm in my 20s :)
I've had this complex about my appearance since I was a student, so I'm very nervous when taking pictures. My
lower jaw sticks out more than my upper jaw, so when I look at it from above, the protrusion and asymmetry of my lower jaw are very visible.
I've had braces done. The dentist also recommended double jaw surgery when growth stops.
I really wanted to do it, but I kept worrying about it because I thought it was expensive and dangerous, so I was scared.
Among so many hospitals, I chose Y-Oral and had double jaw surgery and square jaw surgery. This is a review 3 months after undergoing surgery together!
*Immediately after surgery, 1 month: There were many limitations in speaking, eating, and being active, etc.
*3 months after surgery: Mouth shape has become more natural, meat and slightly tough foods can be eaten to some extent, swelling seems to have almost disappeared
*Now Types of food eaten: Tteokbokki, vegetables, soup (pork soup, sundae soup, etc.), all kinds of noodles (pasta, rice noodles, etc.), meat (I haven't tried ribs yet)
However, compared to other people, I eat much slower ㅠㅠ
In my mouth. It's still difficult to eat a full portion or something like that...
And since I'm undergoing orthodontics after surgery, my occlusion isn't quite right yet, so it takes a really long time to break down the food. There's a difference of about 1.5 times, but I think this can be solved if you do orthodontics first!
When I think about the day I had the surgery, I wonder how I survived.
First of all, it was difficult at the time because I had many limitations, including my ability to breathe, but now I feel so much better!!
I often hear people around me asking why I have become so prettier, and more than anything, the biggest complex I had is gone, so I can feel myself holding my face tightly even in the areas where I used to hide it. They say that
the swelling and feeling will gradually return for up to a year. I’m looking forward to it haha
