I had double jaw surgery + contouring surgery at Yang Yoon-dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
This is a 1 month review.
Reasons for surgery
Since I was young, I have been stressed about my protruding and long chin. In particular, I have felt that I did not like the way my chin looked, even when I took pictures, and it did not look good. I decided to get orthognathic surgery after seeing my self-confidence and self-esteem lowered due to my protruding and elongated face.
While looking for various cafes for consultation
, I found out that Yangyun Dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery was good, so I applied for a consultation and visited the hospital. I was able to receive counseling with peace of mind thanks to the manager and director who kindly and thoroughly explained things to me.
In addition, after seeing the hospital's schedule, which made it difficult to schedule a surgery within a month or two, I realized that it was a hospital that many people trusted and visited. In particular, I had faith in the hospital and ultimately chose Yangyun Dol Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Recovery Process
On the day of surgery - I went to the hospital with a calm mind, but I was very nervous right before the surgery. I think I was very nervous because it was a major surgery rather than what I would do if something went wrong. I went into the operating room, lay down, and the anesthesiologist told me to put in a few mg of OO medicine. I fell asleep a minute later, and when I woke up at some point, the surgery was over. The surgery seemed to have been completed without any conscious awareness, to the point where I was embarrassed by how nervous I was.
Days 1-3 – I had double jaw surgery and contouring surgery and visited the hospital for 3 days and 2 nights. The hardest thing was not the pain, but the stuffy nose. There was almost no pain, but it was so painful that my nose was so stuffed that it was very difficult to breathe. Fortunately, on the third day after discharge, my nose was half-open and breathing became much easier.
3-One week – I survived by eating drinkable foods such as New Care. New Care is more delicious and filling than I thought, so it's not as difficult as I feared.
One week - this week - the surgery went well and I didn't need to have a wafer, so the swelling went down and I ate porridge and had a comfortable time.
This week - one month - the swelling went down drastically and I began to enjoy eating as the types of foods I could eat increased.
One month - Week 5 - Swelling remains, but there are no problems with daily life. I eat meat and drink alcohol. I think I've almost got all my senses back.
It was nice to see a clear difference when I looked at it from the side. My facial features appear to have grown relatively larger, and my confidence and self-esteem have especially increased. I used to hate taking pictures, but now I can take pictures with confidence. If you were to go back a month and ask me if I would have surgery, I would say I would do it without hesitation, and I am so satisfied!
