, I had lower jaw surgery (not double jaw surgery) and 2 types of contouring (square jaw/front jaw) at Y Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery on January 26th!
Since I was young, I have been living with a complex because my lower jaw and occlusion were not aligned, and I
thought this would probably be something I would worry about for the rest of my life, so I decided to have surgery while I was still young.
It's already been 3 months... time flies so fast.
Now I can chew anything that's not too chewy or hard haha.
Up until the second month, I felt a bit of pain in my right jaw when I chewed, but now that feeling is getting less and less so. It's comfortable.
The correction is in progress, so the occlusion isn't perfectly aligned yet, but I feel like it's getting more and more aligned!
I think the swelling has gone down by about 80%. It seems like all the major swelling has gone away and the minor swelling is slowly going down.
Until last month, the muscles on one side of my lips didn't move, so the shape of my mouth was quite awkward, but this has also noticeably improved compared to last month!
Since the threads that bind the muscles haven't all dissolved yet, I think I'll have to watch this for another 6 months.
I can see what it means that the itching in my mouth when I wake up in the morning will gradually decrease and I'll feel comfortable in many areas after about 3 months haha. ..
The swelling in the square jaw and front chin has gone down, so I still have candy-bite-like cheek fat, but I believe it will disappear over time. ㅠ.. ㅠ
If you want to tell people who are planning to have surgery in advance, try to lose as much facial fat as possible before getting it..
Compared to before, Even if you gain a little weight, you look swollen, so you automatically(?) go on a diet. Haha, your bones are pretty!
When I write my next review, my occlusion is almost normal and I want to come back with an overall more upgraded review!!!!
