The front gums themselves were protruding, and
when you smiled even a little, the upper lip would go up and the gums would be exposed, giving you a gummy smile...
It wasn't that much protrusion, but as you got older, they slowly came out a little more (I heard it's the aging process... Is that true? (I don't know)
Anyway, I wanted to put my mouth back even slightly and get rid of the gummy smile, so I went to look into orthodontic treatment.
For your information, the alignment of my teeth was good... If I extracted the tooth, there would be a big space left.
I had the tooth extracted after seeing Yeon Yan ㄱㅎㅅ because I was afraid it would cause gummy teeth. I went to a hospital that said they would put it in.
The dentist I originally went to, whose wife was an orthodontist (it was a couple's dentist), said he would stop me if it was a family member... I asked him to
get a little bit of that (he said there was barely any evidence of a tooth extraction) and told me not to say it was too much trouble.
2 The dentists I went to for the third and third consultations all said that it would not be possible without tooth extraction, and
the last dentist I went to was very willing and said that it could be done by inserting a screw (called a screw used for implants) into the upper gums and pulling it with a rubber band.
The reason is that I had to extract all my wisdom teeth. (When I was in my 20s, I had impacted wisdom teeth that grew horizontally and touched the roots of my molars, so I had two teeth removed at a university hospital dental clinic.) I was told that I could move backwards into the space behind them, and that my gummy smile could also be improved because I could move them upwards. I
paid like I was fascinated. And
it's been about a year and a half since correction started. My husband suddenly took interest in me and
asked me to try this. He said this and showed me the condition of my braces... He said that your buck teeth were becoming buck teeth.
In fact, I was skeptical as well.
I showed the photo to the dentist and told him that it looked like my buck teeth were becoming buck teeth. Sam
said~ I did that because I was so worried about the buck teeth. He said he would change the direction and do whatever you want, so just tell him.
What is the point of making buck teeth just because he was worried about the teeth(?) Anyway, he removed the wire, changed the direction, and reinstalled the wire.
Less than 2 weeks after that. After checking with my husband, he said it seemed to be okay.
It's been about 5 months?? People around you are saying that you seem to be getting buck teeth again ㅜㅜ
(When I first thought I was getting buck teeth, I went around to ask for opinions from neighbors ^^;;) When I
talked to Sam again, there was no such thing as a buck tooth, and you can put more space in the back, so put it in however you want. They said they would give it to me and told me to
just say something. They didn't do anything and just spent a few months with braces on. I
thought this wasn't right so I decided to stop first
. Ah! Also, due to overgrowth of the gums, my mouth became more protruding ㅜㅜ
I think the teeth are pulled at the top, but the bottom teeth are not extracted, so there is no space for them to be pulled, so the buck teeth become diagonal
(this is purely an opinion, my own inference ^^;;)
Conclusion I thought it would be better to end it at this point, so I said it was right to stop because I wanted to, took out the braces, put a retainer on, put it back in my mouth,
and finished.
I think the price was between 5.5 and 6 million won (350 for correction and 50,000 won per month for 2 years of correction). *24 How much is a retainer? How much is it for putting it in and out of the mouth? Since it is added like this... the price goes up quickly)
If you don't have a tooth extracted for a protruding mouth where the gum itself sticks out, the effect is really minimal... ㅜㅜ Use good judgment
. It's true that it moved slightly... The gummy smile disappeared,
and the gum bone protrusion got much better after surgery, so I decided to just draw it.
I paid an additional 2 million won for surgery to remove the gum bone protrusion
through correction. The gum overgrowth made my mouth stick out more than before correction. It was worse ㅜㅜ
I am satisfied with the plastic surgery for the overproliferated gums! Wow, my lips have become more natural
!!! This is also possible and meaningful in cases where the gum bone has overgrown unnecessarily due to pressure from orthodontic treatment. If
the gum bone itself protrudes, the tooth cannot survive if touched.
