Hello,
I have had a complex about my class 3 malocclusion since I was young, so I had double jaw surgery, contour 2 square jaw surgery, and front jaw surgery at the Waigang Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. I
wore a jaw brace when I was in elementary school, so my jaw went in, but as I entered puberty, my jaw gradually came out again.
As I grew up, I was stressed out because my jaw was protruding and I couldn’t chew food with my front teeth and my jaw looked long.
It’s been 3 months since I had the surgery, and all that stress has disappeared.
Now, 3 months later, I’ve almost completely recovered to the point where I’ve forgotten I had the surgery.
My sensation has completely returned except for my palate, and I can now eat almost all foods except for very tough foods (like beef jerky and dried squid).
The swelling has also gone down by 80~90%.
It was so hard for me for a month after the surgery that I regretted having the surgery, but now I hear a lot of people say I look good, and I can chew much more comfortably than before, so I think it was a good decision to have the surgery.
And most of all, I think the best thing is that my complex disappeared, so my confidence and self-esteem have increased.
I recommend it to those who are considering double jaw surgery for similar reasons as me, but it is not a surgery to be taken lightly, so I hope you think carefully and make the right choice for yourself.
