It's already been 3 months since my surgery~
Honestly, for about a month to a month and a half after the surgery, I thought about which week it was and when the swelling would all go down, but after that, I didn't have any particular discomfort and the swelling all went down, so I didn't really worry about it.
I originally had a sunken face shape + a prognathism.
When I was young, my lower teeth would stick out further than my upper teeth, but when I was in elementary school, I had braces to force my teeth to fit together.
So I didn't have any problems with chewing or pronunciation, but my face shape that looked like a prognathism couldn't be solved with braces.
I was obsessed with doing everything from my hairstyle, makeup, and procedures to not draw attention to my chin, but no matter what I did, it couldn't be hidden, and I got stressed every time I looked at my photos, so I got a consultation at Waigang and got double jaw surgery and 2 types of contouring (square jaw-front chin) surgery.
I wanted to improve my chin and face shape that is sunken in the middle of my face. ㅎㅎ
For about a month after the surgery, my lips looked a bit like a double-jaw, so I was worried that this part would stay the same, but my lips seem to have almost completely recovered. ㅎㅎ
A while ago, someone around me asked me if I had lip corner surgery or something like that when I had double jaw surgery. ㅎㅎ
Now, I have almost no restrictions on what I eat.
I haven't tried really hard foods or squid yet, but I eat beef and pork just fine. I also eat vegetables that require chewing just fine.
I think I started eating radish kimchi when it wasn't too big, starting from the second month. At the second month, I chewed carefully and cut it into small pieces, but these days, I feel like I can chew it more easily. Recently, I had pork ribs for the first time in a while. I think
I can open my mouth as well as before. I hardly ever did the mouth-opening exercise for the first two months, but now I just open my mouth wide and brush my teeth.
Sometimes I get a tingling sensation on my chin for a few seconds (I heard that it's called feeling returning?) and that's when I remember the surgery. My lower jaw skin is still a bit numb. But it feels like it's come back compared to shortly after the surgery.
However, I'm recovering a lot so I'm not worried.
In the beginning, there were a lot of inconveniences after the surgery, but now, more than 98% of the things that are comfortable and good are more than the inconveniences after the surgery, so I think I'm very satisfied with the surgery.
If you have the same concerns before the surgery like me, I recommend it.
