On January 3rd, I received forehead reduction surgery from Dr. Dong-Hoon Choi. The forehead was reduced from 8.5cm to 6.6cm. When I visited the hospital for consultation, the director was so kind that my first impression of the hospital was good, but after meeting the director, my first impression became stronger. The director recommended only the procedures I needed and gave me clear diagnosis and answers, which gave me more confidence.
Immediately after the same-day surgery, I felt no pain at all due to the anesthesia. The director performed the procedure very meticulously. I received shampoo from the manager and returned home, but I felt pain for about a day from dawn. After that, there was no difficulty in daily life at all. The stitches were removed about 10 days later, and the doctor said they were healing well. After about 3 weeks, all the scabs fell off and only the red surgical scar remained. In the case of surgical scars, they are said to remain red for up to 3 months, so I apply ice packs regularly.
(As of March 10th) Currently, my surgery area has become very natural, as shown in the photo. There is still some redness, but it seems to be in good condition as it has been about 2 months. And I am completely satisfied because it looks so natural that people have never once asked me about my forehead scar. Before the surgery, I had a very severe m-shaped forehead, so I did not expect that the surgery would correct the m-shaped forehead, but after the surgery, it was nice to see that the m-shaped forehead was corrected more than I expected. And the most important thing is the forehead length, which was extremely receding before the surgery, so the visual effect may be a little less than that of a flat forehead, but the forehead has definitely shrunk a lot. As I had a severe complex about my forehead, I was very satisfied after the surgery. These days, I let my bangs down or let them go naturally, and I feel really good because my forehead doesn't look wider than in the past!!
When it comes to hair loss, I feel like I'm barely losing any hair. The hair around the surgery area looks a little empty, but this is because the surgery area is irritated and falls out. Thanks to the doctor who said that hair growth will begin after 3 months, I am not worried. Also, in the case of scalp sensation, it is now more than 90% returning.
+ (As of May 18th) It has only been about 4 months since the surgery, but there are almost no scars and the fine hair that had fallen out is growing well. The sensation in my forehead has completely returned, and my satisfaction with my daily life is the highest.
