After much deliberation, I got square jaw contouring surgery and it's been two weeks.
Everyone said it was okay, but my square jaw was so prominent
when viewed from the front rather than the side,
which always stressed me out. I looked around several places online and ended up having my first consultation at Samsa-o.
The director gave me great advice, and honestly,
I didn't think any other place would be better than Samsa-o, so
I made an appointment right away without looking around.
Since I'm a man, I wasn't afraid of pain, but
I was a little surprised that I didn't feel any pain right after the surgery.
Still, I didn't know it would be this painless since it's a bone-shaving surgery.
I was very comfortable in my hospital room because I didn't have any of
the symptoms that everyone experiences after general anesthesia (chills, sore throat, etc.)
. Right before I was discharged, the director came to my hospital room again to check on me, and
the day after I was discharged, he called me separately for a doctor's call, but
I couldn't answer the phone because I was watching a movie at the theater ^^;
The swelling was the worst the day after I was discharged from the hospital, and
it started to go down on the second day.
I haven't seen my family or friends in the two weeks since the surgery, so I'm not sure about their reactions....
But when I met a college senior for dinner, he didn't notice at all (on the 11th day ^^).
I still can't open my mouth wide like I used to or eat regular food as much as I want,
but I'm eating soft foods, rice, and noodles just like before the surgery.
I'm also gargling diligently.
It's only been two weeks, but I'm looking forward to a month later!
