This is a review after 3 months of square jaw surgery! A while ago, a person in their 50s who was considering surgery left a question! I thought it would be helpful for many people in their 40s and 50s who are considering surgery if I shared my answer here! I think it would be more helpful to read negative reviews when deciding on surgery! If you have good skin elasticity or can't continue to receive lifting care due to sagging after surgery, it's even more important to receive it from a good director!ㅠㅠ I'm young, but I used to have a complex about my square jaw, so I know how stressful it isㅠㅠ Personally, after that complex disappeared, my self-esteem went up, and people around me said that my personality became brighter, so I think it was a really good decision.
Q1. Can I go home after the surgery alone? How would I deal with an emergency at home alone? Is there anything that I need help from my family?
-> I took a taxi home by myself! Since I went after being admitted to a single room for a day, I was fine on the second day to the point where I could speak well. It was a bit painful because it was wrapped in bandages, but compared to the first day, the pain on the second day wasn't unbearable. Also, I've never had an emergency at home, so please keep that in mind, but if you get through the first day without any problems, I don't think you have to worry too much. On the first day, the general anesthesia wears off, and your body is in a lot of pain. You have to adjust the angle of the bed, inject a ringer and painkillers (if the pain is severe, if necessary), and check your blood pressure. So a nurse comes every 30 minutes to take care of you! She even helps you go to the bathroom and drink water. In fact, on the first day, I thought it wasn't a small surgery. My sister helped me wash my hair around the third day, and after that, I learned how to do it myself.
Q2. When did you swell the most?
-> I think it swelled the most from the third to the seventh day. (This will vary from person to person!)
Q3. Is it true that you can go back to your social life in a week?
->There's a rumor that you'll be able to return to society in a week... I think it's clear that anyone who sees it will see a strange face. I think it will take more than a month to go about your daily life without wearing a mask. It's been over three months for me now, but thinking about it now, I think it will take more than two months for it to feel natural.
